Your QuickBooks Data is 100% Secure with Mobile Financials —
Your QuickBooks Database is Not Accessed

Data and Infrastructure Security

At Mobile Financials, we take the security of your QuickBooks reporting data very seriously.

The only data that ever leaves your QuickBooks computer is the output of selected reports. When applying the Mobile Financials configuration file to the Intuit Web Connector on your Windows computer, you will also be able to specify what type of information you wish to publish. As recommended by our setup guide, when you are asked by the Intuit Web Connector whether you want to transmit any credit card information or Social Security numbers, you should simply answer "no".

All reporting data will be transferred from your Windows computer to our servers through a 256-bit secured and certified tunnel.

By transferring your reporting data using software provided by Intuit, the makers of QuickBooks, we are relying on the solid and reliable technology that you have come to trust.

All reporting data is transferred from your QuickBooks computer, in one direction only, to our secure data center in Sacramento, California. Our data center is located outside California's major seismic and flood zones.

All the servers and systems of Mobile Financials and the data center environment are firewall-protected and monitored 24/7/365. To ensure maximum reliability, our data center is equipped with state-of-the-art climate control, battery and diesel-generator backup power, and access control systems.

Within the secure data center, your QuickBooks report data is stored in a private database that is only accessible by you, through your user login. All data is backed up at regular intervals and is securely transferred to a second datacenter in another geograhical region. Hot, standby systems in the second data center are ready to take over the service in case of major system or connectivity issues.

As Mobile Financials only works with replicated data, your main QuickBooks database remains on your Windows computer in your office and will not be touched.

We rely on well known U.S. brands, such as Cisco and Hewlett Packard, for our server systems, platforms, network infrastructure and firewalls. Our support staff is available 24/7/365 to take care of any issue affecting the Mobile Financials system.

Personal Data Security

When you register for Mobile Financials, we request your credit card information. We do not store your credit card information on our systems. All credit card information is transmitted securely through an encrypted and certified tunnel to our credit card processor BankCard USA — a registered Service Provider for Harris Trust & Savings Bank.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers or store them on or transmit them to our systems.

Our systems are frequently audited by an independent security auditor. Our auditor has been acknowledged by well known companies such as Google and Apple Computer for his security work.

As registered Intuit Community Developers, we conform to Intuit's specifications and technology standards in order to insure maximum compatibility and security.

For the mobile devices, we are registered developers for mobile device leading companies, Apple Computer (iPhone), Research in Motion (Blackberry) and Google (G1/Android).

Securing the Data Transfer

To provide a secure data transfer process from Quickbooks on your Windows computer to our data center, we use the QuickBooks Web Connector from Intuit, the developer of Quickbooks. We provide a configuration file for the QuickBooks Web Connector in order instruct the Web Connector how to securely transfer your report data from your QuickBooks computer to our data center. We do not open up your firewall or your router and we do not need any type of outbound-initiated connections to your network or to your individual computers.

All data is securely transmitted through a 256-bit SSL Tunnel. The Security Certificate is issued and certified by the U.S. Certificate Authority Starfield Technologies.
